Last Sunday we had the pleasure of joining Gok Wan for his One Size Fits All Event in Hemel Hempstead.

Whilst I was in LA early June I received the call from Gok’s team, as they’d discovered the-Bias-Cut and were immediately blown away by how much our brand and values were perfectly aligned with everything Gok stands for. So we were invited to join him for his Style and Body Masterclass, complete with a bubbly filled bunch; a day full of fashion, style, inclusivity and female empowerment.

Gok Wan is famous here in the UK, but for those of you new to his name, he is a leading fashion consultant, TV presenter and author. Having written for multiple leading fashion magazines such as Tatler, Glamour and Marie Claire, and been an 'on-screen' fashion consultant on TV shows, he first presented his own show 'How To Look Good Naked' in 2007 to huge acclaim. Many shows and books have followed, with Gok swiftly becoming recognised as an ambassador for body positivity, self confidence and inclusivity in fashion.

So naturally I have been a big fan of Gok's for over 10 years, and to receive his seal of approval is a huge honour.

The event itself was the perfect opportunity to debut our New Season, coinciding with our launch. After a 5 course luxury brunch, Gok introduced the Fashion Show, where 8 gorgeous professional models of different shapes, sizes (ranging from UK 8 - 22), ages and ethnicities modelled a total of 10 favourite 'looks' from our new collection, personally selected by myself and Gok's team. We also mixed in pieces from our previous seasons to show lasting versatility and style.

Overall it was a brilliant day, and I was hugely impressed by Gok and his team's warmness and professionalism. They were thoroughly involved in every aspect of the day, and made us feel very welcome. Gok was incredibly charismatic, witty and friendly, and shared some fantastic tips on body, shape and trends to invest in (heritage prints, polka dots, jumpsuits and embellishment - all of which feature in the-Bias-Cut's collections).
