As you'll know from Part 1, we've teamed up with designer skiwear online boutique, Winternational, to celebrate style at every age. Winternational's founder, Tamsin, and I are different ages, but we came together to show off each other's pieces and prove that true style transcends age.
In Part 1 I selected my favourite pieces from their collection and played dress up Tamsin for a mini photoshoot with Katie Frost. Well, for the second part of the photoshoot, I swapped places with Tamsin, and she picked out her favourite pieces from our collection to model.
Before choosing her favourite pieces, Tamsin told me she wears a lot of navy, and tends to shy away from bold colours and prints (which lots of you may identify with). So when she sent through her top picks, i'll admit I was quite surprised. Yes there was navy in there, but also lots of red and even one of our boldest prints.
Tamsin told me she wanted to try to push herself out of her comfort zone, hence why she picked them. Because she doesn't avoid print or colour out of distaste, but purely because of lack of confidence. So it was wonderful that she trusted us to have pieces she could comfortably wear and feel fabulous in.
With this in mind, on the day of the shoot, I did encourage Tamsin to try a couple more pieces that I felt she would both like and would look great on her. And she welcomed it with open arms. By the end of the day Tamsin was converted, and even suggested I should become her stylist!
So what did she wear....?
First, Tamism chose our Draped V-Neck Blouse. She really loved how flattering the tied front was. It's ideal for covering tums! On a whim, I decided to put on one of our All-Over Stripes & Stars Embroidered Shirt too so we were front tied twins!
Another blouse Tamsin loved was our silky Tessa blouse; it was the luxurious fabric, flattering v-neck and star burst button collars that made it so special. And it went perfectly with our Lana Clutch in Navy, Nightshade and Nickel.
Next, at my suggestion, Tamsin tried on our Floral Artwork Alpaca Wool Blend Cardigan. I could just imagine her snuggling up in it by the fire in a chalet. She did admit she wouldn't have naturally picked it out, but really loved it - as you can see!
Continuing with the theme of trying new pieces, Tamsin was determined to give our Damaris Dress in Water Art print a go, as it had caught her eye on the website. She was surprised just how much it flattered her figure, and I love how she paired it with her black knee-high boots.
Tamsin also fell in love with our new pieces from Baum Und Pferdgarten's latest collection. I suggested she paired our Jetta pants with our Celeste Cotton Knit. Whilst the hue of the knit is a little lighter than that of the pants, the two worked so well together, making for the ultimate sports-lux look.
I then jumped in alongside Tamsin to wear the new Eira Rainbow T-shirt with the Salal Midi Skirt.
Tamsin then looked fabulous in our velvet and beaded Vinny Kimono. She loved how it moved and the attention to detail with the beading pattern. And she showed how easy it is to wear by simply pairing with a camisole, and black jeans - letting the Vinny Kimono be the star of the outfit.
Tamsin was also eager to try my new cashmere range given her love for the wool. First she tried the Mercury Jumper, showing off its easy shape and effortlessly cool style.
Next she tried our Enigma jumper - which she described as 'butter soft' - showing how well its oversized sloutchy shape works. She decided to style it off one shoulder too, which I loved.
Finally she wore our Neo Jumper, whilst I put on the Mercury Jumper - wearing the same size as Tamsin to show how it works on different shapes and sizes.
