Things I'd Rather Not Discuss

Ok. Here it is. I smell. The more stressed out I get, the worse I smell, and since by nature I belong to the anxious ilk, well, it's not pretty (smelling.) My smell is not a flat out body odor. It's more of a sharp must. But I still stink. And I am sure I am not the only one, so I am coming out of the smelly closet, so that others might be saved.

So what's a stinky girl to do? Most antiperspirant/deodorants make my underarms itch, and I dislike the weird synthetic fragrances they use. So I tried a few all natural-type deodorants. Here are my findings.

1) Tom's of Maine Honeysuckle Rose Natural Deodorant- I got this at the drugstore. It smelled so nice. It even looked cool. I used it for a month. And I still stank. I would find myself reapplying about three times a day. Not recommended. Grade: D

2) Clarins Eau Dynamisante Spray Deodorant- With the jaunty red bottle with the jaunty white cap, this Clarins spray is perhaps the chicest of deodorants. It also smells really good, and It feels nice and bright going on. I would walk out of the house feeling positively swingy, like the girl you stand next to on the subway that smells really clean and nice. But it was more of a smell cover up then a solution. If you don't have a bad smell problem go for this one. Grade: B

3) Kiehl's Superbly Efficient Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant- Now that's a mouthful of a name. But it also says everything you need to know. This stuff works. Tired of being smelled with me in public, my sister bought it for me. The other day I had RC smell me, pre and post Kiehl's application. He was amazed. This stuff literally disappears smell. It has orange, lemon and linseed extract. Grade: A

Ditto. You smell like lollipops and daffodils whenever we get together.
